Privacy policy
We collect the minimum needed to write your request and run your account. We do not sell your data, we do not send it to the vendors on your behalf, and we never ask for identity documents.
The short version
- We collect your name, email address, the email addresses you used for job applications, and your state.
- We never ask for your phone number, home address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s licence, passport, resume, medical information, or any identity document.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not contact ATS or recruiting vendors on your behalf, and we never transmit your deletion request to them. You send it yourself.
- Payment card details never reach our servers. Stripe processes payments directly.

ATS Reset operates ATSReset.com and provides self-service tools for requesting deletion of applicant data held by hiring technology companies. Contact us through our contact page.
What we collect, and why
When you use the free check
Your name, email address and state. These are used to produce and store your exposure estimate so that the figure stays consistent when you return.
When you create an account
Your email address and a password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store the plaintext.
When you buy a plan
Stripe collects and processes your payment details. We receive a confirmation, an amount, and a payment identifier — not your card number.
During onboarding
Your full name, the email addresses you used for job applications, and your state. Your name is inserted into your deletion request; your state selects which template applies; the email addresses are stored so you can see which address to send from.
As you use your workspace
Which requests you have marked as sent, submitted, completed or denied, and the dates you did so. This is what powers your tracking and follow-up dates.
Analytics
We record product events — pages viewed, a checkout started, a request marked as sent — along with UTM parameters and referrer where present, so we can understand which channels bring customers.
We do not write the contents of your deletion requests into analytics. Event names and identifiers only. We do not operate cross-site tracking and we do not sell analytics data.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
- We do not email ATS vendors on your behalf, under any circumstances.
- We do not ask for, want, or store identity documents or government identifiers.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers needed to run the product:

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
- Account data — while your account exists.
- Purchase records — retained after a Reset cycle ends, for accounting, tax and dispute-handling purposes.
- Reset cycle history — retained so you keep your progress record. Access to paid contact details ends when the cycle expires.
- Free check records — retained so your estimate stays consistent.
- Contact messages — retained so we have context if you write again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Ask through our contact page and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data, though we retain transaction records where we are legally required to.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to customer data is restricted at the database level, so each account can reach only its own records. Payment card data never touches our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function — keeping you signed in, and remembering your session through checkout. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party ad trackers.
Children
ATS Reset is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated by email.
